Prescription Policy

Dear Fairgrounds Animal Hospital Pet Parents:

Due to the significant time commitment required to address the high volume of outside pharmacy requests received daily, we are making some changes to the processing of requests through outside online pharmacies.

Effective immediately, we will no longer send prescription requests to outside pharmacies (with the exception of compounding pharmacies such as Wedgewood Pharmacy) by phone,
fax or email.

If you choose to obtain your pet’s medications through a different commercial pharmacy, you may request a written prescription to be picked up at the hospital. You will be responsible for delivery of the written prescription to the pharmacy of your choice, by mail or in person. Three business days are required for fulfillment of these requests.

If you prefer the convenience of online ordering and home delivery, we have an online pharmacy that is listed on our website. We regularly review our costs and work to remain as competitive and will be offering comparable pricing to other online pharmacies.
